i love this hymn and this theme has been in my head a lot. If everything; home, family, friends, money, clothes, music, absolutley everything was taken from you, would the naked promise of God be sufficient for you? would it be enough for you to have only the love of Jesus? or do the vain things of this world crowd your heart with uneasy happiness. the Lord is teaching me this and its amazing. thank you all for your prayers. He is good.

| my VBS highlights (if anyone still reads this)
the first day linda asking jairo "are you ready for VBS?" to which jairo responded " Whats that?"..umm what you're here for
all the little girls kept calling me "mama"..."thats my mama"...weiird
according to molly we had birdfeed for snack on tuesday..meanwhile i thought it was delicious.
after a girl called me mama..another girl told her " YO momma at work!"
in the middle of bible class Aaron quoted Al Capone's immortal quote "A kind word and a gun go much farther than just a kind word." thank you Aaron.
Tristan's meltdown .
Tristan: "I'm done with VBS! I hate this. I want to go to another church."
Astrid: "boy you got army blood in you, if they cut you you bleed blue, yellow, and red."
Tristan: "I DON'T WANT TO BLEED ANYMORE!
the altar was full with kids wanting to accept Christ.
i got hit on the leg, hit in the nose twice, and my lip bled.
all the kids making some crazy holy ghost noise for the funnest song ever.
